Is $3,200 to seal air ducts a fair price?
Project Details
My AC unit was inspected by an HVAC professional who stated it is running fine, but the humidity level in my house is high (65-75%). My house has high ceilings and no return ducts in the upstairs bedrooms, only one in the hallway. I believe the ductwork was never sealed and there is air loss. I am looking for specialists to fully examine the ductwork, including testing via instruments for air flow and air loss, with video analysis.

Seal ducts in attic and basement to eliminate humidity
This quote is for sealing unsealed ducts around the return to the unit in the attic and in the basement. The issue was diagnosed as the AC unit pulling in hot, humid air from the attic and basement spaces due to these unsealed ducts, which prevents the unit from adequately dehumidifying the indoor air. The work involves manual labor using tape to seal the identified leaks. The service will be performed by 2 technicians for an estimated 4-6 hours.
