Is $4,800 to install new ductwork and a purifier system a fair price?
Project Details
We moved back into a partially renovated home in November of last year and have been slowly fixing issues as they arise. We decided to address a weird smell emanating from our vents when our AC is turned on. I used an at-home mold test kit and two little gray fuzzy dots appeared after a few days. We called out an HVAC guy who crawled up in the ductwork and showed photos of mold growth. We paid $4800 for all new ductwork and a purifier system and I truly thought that would make the smell go away. Unfortunately, it's still hanging around and I'm wondering what in the heck it could be.
