Is $950 to replace a cracked heat exchanger a fair price?
Project Details
My Trane furnace is about 11 years old, manufactured in July 2014, and the heat exchanger is cracked. The static pressure is also high at 0.9 inwc, exceeding the manufacturer's high end of 0.5”. My air conditioner is much older and near death. I'm concerned about investing in the furnace if other components will fail soon.
