Is $2,200 to install fiberglass blown insulation to R-38 and remove existing batts a fair price?
Project Details
I am getting conflicting quotes for attic insulation. My top floor plan is around 1500 sq ft, so I assume 1500 sq ft in the attic. I am in Georgia. I currently have R19 batts stuffed between joists, with no sealing. One company wants to blow in fiberglass on top of the batts to R38. The other company says I likely have R5 and wants to go to R49. I am leaning towards the $3,600 quote and want to know if I am missing anything in its scope, especially since it offers up to $1200 off from GA power and tax rebates.
