Is $10,000 to install 2 inches of polyurethane and 17 inches of sprayed fiberglass insulation a fair price?
Project Details
I am concerned about the quality of the work, specifically the application of polyurethane. A subcontractor charged me an additional $500 to install boxes around light fixtures for accessibility, but I don't see them. I am also questioning if polyurethane should be applied directly on electrical boxes (which have blue tape on them) and wires. The company is supposed to add 17 inches of sprayed fiberglass on top of the existing polyurethane. I am located in Quebec, where it snows 5-6 months a year, so proper insulation is crucial.
