Is $38,000 to insulate a 60x80 shop with spray foam a fair price?
Project Details
I inherited this 60x80 shop. I'm looking for insulation tips because the spray foam quotes were too expensive, and I can't afford them. I'm pretty handy and work construction, but I haven't done much work after framing. I'm looking for alternatives like fiberglass or foam board to insulate it enough to be able to wear normal clothes inside with a fireplace going. I'm concerned about condensation management due to significant temperature swings in spring and fall (40-60°F swing, 80-90+°F daytime, 30-40s°F at night). I'm also considering how to mount foam boards, potentially needing to frame up something to create a 1-2" space between the tin and foam.
