Is $1,500 to add blown attic insulation a fair price?

Project Details

We live in Las Vegas, NV, and it gets very hot in the summer. We have been upgrading our house to make it better able to withstand the high temps. We have already upgraded the windows, redid the roof with shingles that reflect the sun, and we have new turbines. There is insulation up there already, and I'm wondering if this is actually an upgrade. We have vaulted ceilings in half the house, and I'm concerned if there would be enough room between the ceiling and the roof to install the insulation. I'm asking if it will potentially have enough of an affect to be worth the price.
