Is $6,000 to supply and install kitchen cabinets a fair price?
Project Details
I moved to this place last year and renovated the kitchen. I don't cook much, so I asked for a minimal design with no overhead cabinets to create open space and allow more sunlight. My family and flatmates, who cook frequently, think I will regret not having enough storage space, which I somewhat agree with as we currently run out of space and have to store items in the basement. It was a budget project, and I think it looks too white and glossy. I originally wanted matte finger tiles for the splashback but opted for a cheaper range that was on sale. My cousins, who are tilers, did the full wall splashback for me. I initially considered a chandelier but was advised against it as it might look too busy. I'm considering changing the ceiling light to a warmer white and potentially changing the floor in the future because the current one was not installed properly and makes squeaky noises. I also need to find space for appliances and tools.
