Is $8,400 to install new kitchen cabinetry a fair price?

I am planning to remodel the kitchen in my 1998 condo and would love thoughts and advice, especially regarding the angled range. I'm considering shrinking the pantry and shifting everything to the left so the range can sit on a straight wall, removing the over-the-range microwave and adding a vent hood instead. I plan to change out the cabinetry to a creamy white slim shaker, leaning towards something more classic than trendy white oak. I'm thinking of brass hardware and a warm-veined quartz that goes all the way up the backsplash. I'd love to get panel-ready appliances, but they might be out of budget. I'm also planning to have a larger island placed horizontal to the fridge instead of the current angled one. I feel the current kitchen is a little dated and I want to achieve a more modern look. I understand that if I move the range, I will need new cabinets, and my current ones are almost 30 years old. This is my first remodel, and I'm grateful for any thoughts or advice. I'm also specifically wondering if the quality of the quoted cabinets (melamine interiors and poplar wood exteriors) is decent for a kitchen.
