Is $7,000 to install quartz countertops a fair price?

I am going through a full kitchen remodel and asked about running countertop up to the bottom of cabinets. I really want the matching backsplash but don't know if I can stomach 16k on counters and backsplash combined. I initially thought the backsplash would be cheaper because it is less material (about 75% of the square footage of the counters).
