Is $2,000 to install 56 sqft of quartz backsplash to the ceiling a fair price?

I just had quartz countertops installed and originally planned to do a quartz backsplash all the way to the ceiling. However, I was misquoted and the price was $2,000 more than anticipated for the 56 sq/ft of wall coverage, so I am now looking for alternative solutions. My home has a dark/alternative vibe, and the current white cabinets and quartz feel too sterile. The kitchen is L-shaped and I have updated the appliances to stainless steel and gunmetal.
