Is $20,000 to replace entire kitchen cabinets with MDF a fair price?

I am looking at options for my kitchen. I am considering keeping the existing cabinets, refinishing them, and finding something to match where the fridge will be moved. If I go with this option, I will also replace the countertop. For context, I am removing the upper cabinets and opening up a wall. I am also wondering if there is a way to match the existing hardware design/style.
