Is $800 to change cabinet hinges and doors due to measurement error a fair price?

I had a custom cabinet created to fit in a very tight spot in my remodel. The kitchen designer came out and took the measurements herself. When the installers put it in, we found it conflicts badly with the door hinge of an adjacent passage door. I think the proposed solutions might still be too tight, and I'm questioning why I'm being charged for a problem caused by the designer's measurements.
