Is $1,500 to replace drywall board and repaint a fair price?
Project Details
We recently had a roof leak due to a solar install. While inspecting the attic, my body weight was put on the drywall between the joists, causing the tape joint to pop and the board to sag. I am looking for a cost-effective repair and am unsure if a full replacement is necessary or if there's an alternative. I also need to know how to check if the board is damaged, as I'm a first-time homebuyer and this is all new to me. I don't think I'll be able to do this myself (or that my wife would allow me to)!
