Is $1,320 to repair mudroom ceiling and wall damage from washer leak a fair price?
Project Details
Our washer leaked from the upstairs laundry room into our mudroom, causing damage to the ceiling drywall and back wall covering. I paid for the paint myself. I didn't use a contractor, just a recommendation from someone I know. I live in a low cost of living area. I felt like it was a great price and value for the time spent, mostly by one person with another helping with painting. I wanted to confirm it was a good price because I would like this person to do my kitchen tile and counters next. The existing joists and plumbing issues visible were not part of this job and have been like that since the house was built. I called him and gave him a $200 tip.
