Is $2,500 to mud a 700 sqft basement a fair price?
Project Details
I run a small contracting company and hired a mudder to mud a 700 square-foot basement for 2500 bucks including materials. After priming, the result was very poor, with over 250 spots needing fixing. My guys spent a full day fixing his mistakes and will need to sand and prime again. I'm unsure if I should pay him in full. He hasn't been paid anything yet and is unavailable until Saturday. He claims the stairs area wasn't priced and fixing existing issues is extra, but I believe the stairs are part of the basement scope.
