Is $52,000 to paint the interior of a 2300 sqft house including trim and cabinetry a fair price?
Project Details
I am going to be buying a house next month. The house has crown molding, baseboards, and other cabinetry/wood (kitchen, doors, bathrooms) that are an early 2000s super dark brown. I was quoted $52,000 for the painting work, which I find surprisingly high. I am now considering doing the work myself, which wasn't my original preference, as I didn't expect such a high cost. We are located almost smack in the middle of the US. We haven't even finalized paint details yet, only that it would be mostly white with a different color in one or two bedrooms. I'm new to this process and plan to get more quotes.
