Is $2,200 to remove popcorn ceilings, skim, and paint a fair price?

Project Details

I recently paid a well-reviewed and recommended company to remove the popcorn ceilings in my living room. They ended up not removing the popcorn as they said it had been previously painted and wouldn’t come off right and just applied the mud over it. While it definitely looks better than before, there are quite a few trowel marks and pinholes in a few areas. I'm wondering if there should be a price difference in the fact that no popcorn was actually removed or if it just is what it is. I feel much better about the situation now, and while I’m not thrilled about the trowel marks, I don’t trust them to do much better if I give them a hard time, so I’m just gonna call it as is. I did have it tested before they came, and it came back negative for asbestos.
