Is $10,000 to paint interior walls and trim a fair price?
Project Details
I paid $10,000 for this interior painting project. I had requested glossy trim but received semi-gloss. Additionally, the "cut" line between the baseboard trim and the wall isn't clean, and the grain is showing a bit more on one of the doors and some baseboard trim. The painters did some back work to clean up the lines, which are now a little wavy but no longer choppy. They also added another coat of enamel to the door frame with the most obvious grain. I am currently doing a walkthrough to point out remaining issues. I suspect that less experienced crew members do the majority of the work, with a more experienced person brought in for touch-ups. I am questioning if the $10,000 price is fair for a project of this size (~2000 sq ft), including baseboard, door, and window trim from wood to white, especially since the company accepted and signed the estimate.
