Is $6,700 to interior painting and kitchen cabinet repainting a fair price?
Project Details
I just had these painters do all the open areas of my house and I'm questioning the quality of the work, asking if it's terrible or lazy. They suggested another coat for an additional $1100 to fix it, and I'm wondering if a third coat is truly the solution or if there's more to it. I noted that only patching and smoothing were done on the walls, with no primer used, and the dark green paint was applied in two coats over the original white. The cabinets were sprayed, while walls were done with brushes/rollers. I've only paid $2000 of the $6700 total and will not pay the rest until a resolution is found. This was my first time hiring painters, and friends advised it was a good deal. I'm considering doing a third coat myself and touching up any imperfections, but I wanted opinions first. I observed some spotting on the countertops, but it's not a major complaint, and the floors are still covered.
