Is $4,301 to paint kitchen cabinets a fair price?
Project Details
I got a quote to paint my cabinets, which includes some sanding and hardware change. They quoted me $4300.54. I am pretty shocked honestly. My kitchen is SMALL and has 18 cabinet doors, 17 frames, and 6 drawers. I was thinking it would be around 2K max based on my research. I agree, it is definitely labor intensive, but they said this would take less than one day and the sanding is minimal. They don’t sand everything, just where it needs to be done. I asked neighbors with similar sized kitchens and they paid less, but that was a few years ago and/or before the pandemic. We’ve DIYed all of our house projects, but with new baby and very busy jobs it’s just not feasible at this time.
