Is $2,750 to install a natural gas water heater tank a fair price?

Our current boilermate 40G tank is on its last leg and we’re looking to replace it. We got quotes from a local company we trust in Maryland for all the different replacement options but trying to decide from an efficiency and long term cost standpoint what’s the best.
