Is $6,000 to install a new pool heater a fair price?

My H250FDN gas heater has a bad leak coming out of the combustion chamber. A pool technician came out and recommended a new unit because the combustion chamber is flooded, likely needing a new igniter as well. The current heater was installed new in 2021, and I've been careful with winterization and chemical balance. I'm considering if it would be worth it to just get a 115K or 140K BTU heat pump instead. The $6K quote seems like a lot given the current unit is only 4 years old. The original installer is not returning calls, and I believe the warranty was only 3 years.
