Is $1,850 to replace pool salt cell and cable a fair price?
Project Details
I've seen my chlorine levels dropping slowly after 6 years of having our pool. I'm also getting an orange "service" light and codes 125,194 on the box. It sounded like a salt cell issue, and I had a pool company confirm this. I've cleaned the cell, but never replaced it yet so it makes sense. The guy says they are required to install a new cable from the box to the new cell, and the total is $1850 for everything. This sounds really high. I found an OEM cell for $750, but do I also need to replace the cable for another $200?
