Is $2,500 to repair a skimmer leak a fair price?
Project Details
I have a pretty obvious skimmer crack. I want to verify I am getting accurate information about the potential issues from this repair and if this damage to other things is essentially inevitable. It definitely looks like something major has happened to crack this thing; however, whatever it is hasn’t telegraphed into my pool deck or into that wall of the pool so I’m not sure. I think this might be the end for me and this pool. We’ve already spent well over 6 figures on trying to fix all the issues with it—and then new issues pop up. I’m so used to being taken advantage of that I have serious trust issues. The guy who came over about the skimmer says my more than 5-year-old plaster is failing.
