Is $20,000 to build a 360 degree infinity edge spa a fair price?
Project Details
We are currently in the build phase of a smaller pool with a large 8x8 interior 360 degree infinity edge spa. They started tiling the spa last week, and at first it was looking great; my wife and I left the house and didn’t return until after dark that day. After we inspected their work more closely the next day, there appeared to be some rushed areas with large gaps in between tile sheets, misaligned vertical tile seams, and some questionable decisions made on where to cut tiles (eg, right in the middle of the spa wall and not at the edges). Maybe the tile we chose was slightly more difficult to install? Either way, we have voiced our concerns with the pool builder but they are not giving us the reassurance we are looking for. They continue to claim that the mason doing our tile work is their “best guy,” and that he is going to fix his mistakes. At over $20,000 for this spa, we expect the highest quality craftsmanship. Is there any way to fix these mistakes without ripping all of this tile out and re-doing it all over again?
