

Is $8,000 to replace pool plumbing with bigger PVC a fair price?

I spent all morning tracking down a compression fitting. I had a long talk with our local pool shop (not Leslie’s), and they told me what I am doing is most likely a big waste of time and money. Based on my copper plumbing, they said it’s 50/50 that a pump and replumb will solve my problems, and it’s most likely my copper plumbing is going bad.
