Is $9,500 to replace roof shingles and address related issues a fair price?
Project Details
The roof replacement job is mostly complete, and the contractors are coming for a final check tomorrow. I have several concerns about the finished work, including the drip edge along the top and bottom of the roof, the chimney flashing, an area that previously leaked, and some trim boards that were either not replaced as discussed or replaced without being painted/caulked. I'm wondering if these issues are worth asking to be redone, and if they should be included in the original price or require extra payment. The company was affordable and came highly recommended locally.

Replace entire roof
The quote was for an entire roof replacement. The homeowner has significant concerns about the quality and execution of the work, specifically noting the following issues: - Roof sheets and cap pieces are made of metal sheets layered overtop of one another, which the homeowner describes as looking "trashy." - Siding was cut at the bottom and slid up under the flashing, left looking unfinished, raising concerns about it ripping off due to high winds. - The new roof design causes water runoff to completely miss the gutters and go straight to the ground. - Two vents on one side of the house were eliminated during the replacement.
