Is $68,000 to replace a 6,000 sqft roof with GAF certified installation a fair price?

I've received two bids for our roof replacement. The roof is a little over 6,000 sqft of actual area, has a steeper pitch in parts, and most of it is south facing, so it boils in the heat. The roof we are replacing is a Certainteed original build from 2005 and is crumbling in places, so it definitely needs to be replaced soon. We bought the house two years ago knowing the roof would need replacement. We were just shocked at an almost $70,000 price tag from one company, especially since the other quote was $38,000, which is what we expected. We were aiming for three quotes but haven't had the time yet to find a third company we want to hear from.
