Is $20,000 to replace shingles and upgrade decking a fair price?
Project Details
I need advice and opinions on how to handle worker conduct. We hired a professional, highly rated roofing company. On the first day, I witnessed at least three workers urinating in my backyard and twice in my back neighbor's yard, without attempting to conceal themselves. My home is in the heart of the city, surrounded by houses and a school, and I was home alone as a disabled female, which made me uncomfortable. They did not ask to use our toilet, and no one spoke English. Later, one worker aggressively tried to pull out our 12ft ladder, which was buried under snow and frozen to the ground, banging our canoe in the process. I suspect they intended to steal it. I did not contact the office immediately because I was afraid they would cancel the job right before an extreme storm. My husband thinks I shouldn't say anything now that the job is done and looks good. I am struggling with this because as someone who has managed companies, I would want to know about such conduct. I am not planning to approach them rudely, but rather to express appreciation for the work while informing them about the worker behavior. I am concerned about the multiple human urine spots where my kids and dog play.
