Is $14,000 to replace a roof on a second-story home a fair price?
Project Details
I need a new roof. My credit is not good enough for a HELOC, but I did qualify for a cash out refinance, which I don't really want because I have an excellent rate of 3.75% and the new rate would be 6.62%. I don't think a cash out refinance is smart. This project is my own initiative. While I have roofed a ranch home before, this second story is a bit out of my comfort zone. We could definitely do a second layer, as there is only one on now, but this is not my forever home.
