Is $900 to reflash chimney on metal roof a fair price?

I had a company out previously, but they forgot about me. They are driving from pretty far away. When I inquired if they could fit me in, the price changed from $600 (remembered from the phone) to $900 a month later. I'm in a rural area with few contractors who would do this type of work correctly. The previous work was done poorly, leaving the shingles on and using silicone caulk on the chimney.
