Is $500 to reflash the chimney a fair price?
Project Details
I am getting a new asphalt roof in a couple of weeks and am looking for advice about the chimney for my oil furnace. I am trying to decide whether I should reflash it or demo it to the attic and put in a steel chimney above the sheathing. My roofer commented that the terracotta liner in the chimney has failed and it's not very safe. My current roof is 30 years old, and I previously sprayed Flex Seal on my flashings.
