Is $2,500 to repair a small section of the roof a fair price?
Project Details
This is our rental house, located just over an hour away. The house has two main roof sections that were replaced within the last decade. This small section, approximately 3' by 7' or 8', covers a bit of the laundry room and has recently started leaking. I am decently handy and have completed projects like building a shower, replacing a window, and building a large doghouse, but I would prefer a more knowledgeable person to handle this repair. I feel the quoted price is high, even though the contractor explained it's due to the need to purchase materials in large quantities despite the small amount actually used. I am planning to get more quotes and am considering if I should attempt this repair myself.
