Is $13,000 to re-shingle a 1,400 sqft ranch roof a fair price?
Project Details
I got a quote to re-shingle my roof for $13,000. I just spent months re-roofing my garage, so now I know how to do a roof, but it would take me a very long time and I would be using a 'top down' method which is even slower. I am very slow mentally and physically and I was hand nailing it and doing research as I go. I am debating whether to DIY to ensure everything is done correctly or trust and supervise roofers, as it seems like a big amount of money. My current roof is a 3-tab that is 15+ years old but doesn't leak. I am paying $100 a month extra for insurance because the roof is not replaced among other things.
