Is $1,400 to replace gutters and repair fascia a fair price?

I have a 1960s house with wood soffits. I am looking to have my gutters replaced and the fascia repaired because the fascia is rotting and the gutters are small. While I am at it, I thought updating the soffits would be great for the house and the integrity of the attic/roof. I'm unsure if the first contractor's soffit quote is too expensive or if the second contractor might cut corners. I'm looking for advice on what to know or ask when updating soffits.
