Is $4,600 to switch attic venting from ridge to gable a fair price?
Project Details
We have a 1951 house. The previous owners replaced the roof and attic venting in 2022, boarding up the old gable venting and installing ridge venting and lower "smartvent" ridge venting for intake. Because of the placement and insulation of our knee wall attic space, the intake ridge vents don't really work, resulting in no pressure and our upstairs rooms overheating very quickly. Our plan is to remove the siding, repair the fan, and switch back to gable venting.
