Is $32,000 to install a standing seam metal roof a fair price?

I had a quote for a standing seam metal roof on my 1400 sq ft single story house for around $16,000 (painted type) or $12,000 (bare metal) back in 2023. At that time, I didn't have the money, and my shingles were still okay, so I waited. Now, the situation is becoming more serious, prompting me to seek new quotes. The original company that gave me the 2023 quote was well-rated and offered prices in the lower-middle range compared to other quotes I received then. I'm questioning if a new quote of $32,000 makes sense and if I should bother getting additional quotes again, assuming all prices have increased similarly. I will start getting quotes again.
