Is $18,000 to install a solar system with 10 470W panels and an IQ 10c battery a fair price?

Project Details

I am looking at Sunpower for home solar in the Bay Area. I'm concerned because I found out they went bankrupt in 2024 and have mixed reviews online. I've also looked at Sunrun and DIY options. I like this option because it allows for an outright buyout without hidden numbers, unlike Sunrun which requires an appraisal. The plan is a PPA where ownership transfers to me after 5 years, and I hope to pay it off in under 10 years.
