Is $0 to install a solar power purchase agreement (PPA) a fair price?

Project Details

I've been looking into a PPA via Trinity Solar. My current rates from National Grid are about $0.34 per kWh, and we use about 18000 kWh per year. The system proposed is quite small due to the house. We plan on being in the house for the next 10 years. We haven't yet gone through the site inspection, but we do have concerns about the roof which is quite old. I'm trying to figure out if this PPA is worth doing, especially long-term, as it doesn't offer much short-term savings. I'm also concerned about potential issues related to selling the property with a PPA, as my real estate broker friends have indicated it could be a negative for buyers, despite Trinity's claims that it's a value add. I also need to confirm in writing what Trinity's roof insurance covers and if they will indeed pay for removing and reinstalling panels if the roof needs to be replaced.
