Is $27,937 to install a 6.96 kW solar system with battery storage a fair price?
Project Details
My home is in the Bay Area and I use PG&E, with one EV. The total out-of-pocket cost is estimated to be $20,000 after tax credits. The contractor seemed genuine and helpful, and was willing to negotiate the price further if I committed. I am considering if I should charge my EV overnight from the grid, as PG&E off-peak rates are not bad, and I wonder if I can stay on the EV2A rate plan even after installing solar.
