Is $65,000 to install a 16.5kW solar system with battery backup a fair price?

Project Details

I live in Tennessee and decided to look into solar due to discussions of TVA potentially going private and the overdevelopment of subdivisions placing more demand on the infrastructure. The quoted cost of $65,000 for a 16.5kW system with battery backup was significantly more than I was expecting, and I'm confused about what is a reasonable quote. I'm looking for suggestions on how to find a quality system installed. I understand the tax incentive is a tax credit that carries forward for up to 5 years, but being retired, I don't think I'd have enough owed taxes to fully utilize it. I'm pretty handy but not willing to mess with the height and pitch of my roof. I want to stick with tier 1 level systems because of quality and the usual 25-year warranty, as I found Ecoflow seemed entry-level with poor long-term reviews.
