Is $64,190 to install a 12.42 kW solar system with Enphase microinverters and FranklinWh batteries a fair price?
Project Details
I am comparing two solar system setups and quotes. I am leaning towards the SPAN smart panel and charger because it integrates well with my smart home, even though I have a Tesla. I understand that the microinverters in Setup 1 offer 1% more production (111% vs 110% with Tesla string inverters). Given that I am in California and dealing with NEM3.0, battery storage is essential. I want to complete this project this year to potentially benefit from the 30% tax credit before it expires, and I plan to stay in this house long-term. My average monthly energy consumption over the last six months has been between 1500 kWh and 2000 kWh, with projections for higher usage in the summer. I am also considering adding 4-6 more panels to the system.
