Is $37,600 to install a solar panel system with REC Alpha Pure-RX panels and Enphase IQ batteries a fair price?
Project Details
I am considering solar with battery backup due to multi-day blackouts from my utility company, as an alternative to a natural gas generator. I previously considered solar in 2022. I've used Energy Sage and other sources to get quotes and have narrowed it down to two options. I'm seeking advice on which quote to pursue given similar costs, whether critter guards are necessary (as I've never seen a squirrel on my roof), and if re-routing plumbing vent pipes for more panels is advisable (I have the shingles for roof repair). I believe Option 1 might be conservative based on my discussions, and I'm looking for feedback on the equipment and overall feasibility, as both options aim to maximize southeastern exposure.
