Is $2,300 to install critter guards for a solar panel system a fair price?

I've seen a few posts about critter guards and still have questions. Lumina claims their panels are mounted low, which should prevent issues with birds or squirrels. I haven't seen squirrels in 7 years, and there are no trees directly near my house. The salesperson wasn't pushing the critter guard, stating she rarely sells it, which made me wonder if it was necessary, especially since she earns commission. I decided to go with the critter guard because there's an inner section that would be inaccessible after the solar panel installation without removing a panel. I also checked with solar panel cleaners, and their prices for cleaning weren't significantly less than Lumina's.
