Is $2,900 to install critter guards around solar panels a fair price?
Project Details
I've been reading the subreddit for solar for some guidance on getting critter guards. I've had my system put in the end of last year and noticed bird and squirrel activity since the spring. I don't have any nearby trees and my power line and telephone / cable are underground. I'm looking at this like a fire extinguisher. I've got them, but I've never had to use them. I'm TDO for ladder work on my 2-story house. I started clearing trees from around my house about 3 years ago. Since then, the rodent population dropped about 80%. I still get a curious few that climb the stucco chimney. From what I'm gathering, the influx of pigeons are going to be my main worry.
