My electric bill has been very high, around 33,000 kWh in the last 12 months. This is mostly due to a swim spa, which is like a 2400-gallon hot tub with electric heat. My goal for this project is energy independence and backup power. The estimated ROI is 10.8 years assuming electric rates stay the same.
