Is $39,000 to install a 10kW solar system with a 10kWh battery a fair price?
Project Details
I'm still learning about solar systems, but this is the cheapest quote I've gotten so far. My household's electricity usage was 12,500 kWh last year, which includes an EV. I have a new gas water heater, so I'm not looking to convert to an electric tankless. However, my HVAC system is 16 years old, and I'm considering replacing the furnace with an electric heat pump, which makes me wonder if I should ask for a few more panels. The battery and panels in this quote are slightly smaller/fewer than a previous Lumina quote, but this quote is still less expensive.
