Is $12,150 to install a 6.56kW solar panel system a fair price?
Project Details
I am in Ohio and have a house with a south-facing roof with no tree or other obstructions. My energy usage in the last three years has been 9221 kWh, 8745 kWh, and 8736 kWh (most recent). My average bill has gone up 19.7% in the last two years, despite my consumption trending downwards. I have no plans to move and have lived here for 16 years. My roof is brand new as of October. I am considering paying for this from savings, as it is low enough that I could still have an emergency fund/cushion. I am concerned about how they estimate production, specifically if it takes into consideration average cloudy/bad weather days for my area and shorter days in the winter. I also need to ask about their install schedule.
