Is $250 to send a technician to inspect the inverter a fair price?
Project Details
My SolarEdge data plan expired after 5 years, and I was required to pay a yearly fee to continue monitoring my system's generation, which I was not informed about initially. I paid for a 1-year renewal, but after 3 weeks, I still cannot see my system on the app despite being told it would resume in a day or two. I have already tried resetting the system multiple times as instructed by SolarEdge. I doubt the inverter broke at the exact same time the data plan expired and suspect it's a setting issue. The original installer went out of business, so I don't have access to their app.
Quote Details
SolarEdge is offering to send a technician to my home to inspect the inverter. - Service includes: On-site inspection of the inverter to diagnose communication issues. - This service is proposed after I paid for a 1-year data plan renewal, but my system data is still not visible on the app after 3 weeks. - I suspect the issue is related to app settings or data plan activation rather than a hardware fault, as the problem coincided with the data plan expiration.
